Sweden

My first bookmark from Sweden!

Sweden is a Nordic country on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. It borders with Norway and Finland, and is connected to Denmark by a bridge-tunnel across the Öresund.

This bookmark shows traditional clothing and a Dalecarlian horse.

The Dalecarlian horse or Dala horse is a traditional carved and painted wooden statuette of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. In the old days the Dala horse was mostly used as a toy for children; in modern times it has become a symbol of Dalarna as well as Sweden in general.

The world's largest Dala Horse, made of concrete and located in Avesta, Sweden (Wikipedia.org)
