Geiranger

January 4, 2011

A bookmark from Geiranger, Norway. It came with a postcard too (God Jul = Merry Christmas):

Geiranger is a small tourist village in Sunnmørein, in the western part of Norway. It is home to some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, and has been named the best travel destination in Scandinavia.

The city is under constant threat from the mountain Åkerneset which could erode into the fjord. A collapse could cause a tsunami that could destroy downtown Geiranger.

If you want to know more about Geiranger we have a lot of pictures and a video of that area. Also, if I remember where I put the book about Norway I will show you the photos of a beautiful paradise.
