Puerto Madero

December 11, 2010

A paper bookmark with a painting by Argentinean artist Daniel Salaverria, showing Puerto Madero:

Puerto Madero is a district of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires, occupying a significant portion of the Río de la Plata riverbank and representing the latest architectural trends in the city of Buenos Aires.

The Puente de la Mujer (Spanish for “Woman’s Bridge“) is a footbridge in Puerto Madero. It has a single mast with cables suspending a portion of the bridge which rotates 90 degrees in order to allow water traffic to pass.
