Lyme Park

July 9, 2010

A leather bookmark I received from England:

Lyme Park is a large estate located south of Disley, Cheshire, England. It consists of a mansion house surrounded by formal gardens, in a deer park in the Peak District National Park.

The house dates from the latter part of the 16th century. It has been used as a location for filming tv shows and movies, including the 1995 BBC adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice. Nowadays, it’s open to the public.

Thanks to Richard.
